Renault: Carlos Ghosn still holds positions
Renault SA (RNO.FR) said Tuesday that Carlos Ghosn, who has resigned as chairman and chief executive, still holds other positions with the group and within its alliance with Japan’s Nissan Motor Co. (7201.TO).
Mr. Ghosn resigned as chairman and CEO following his arrest last year in Japan, where he is accused of underreporting his pay and other financial misconduct at alliance partner Nissan. Mr. Ghosn has denied the allegations.
"Renault wishes to specify that Mr. Ghosn resigned from his terms of office as chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer, but remains, as of the date hereof, director of Renault SA," the company said.
Renault said, as of now, Mr. Ghosn also remains a board member at Renault-Nissan BV, a Dutch entity that manages much of the partnership with Nissan. Mr. Ghosn was replaced as the board’s chairman in agreement with Nissan however, Renault said.
Mr. Ghosn still holds positions at Alliance Rostec Auto BV and Renault do Brasil, the company said.
