Tesla loses another finance executive
Tesla Inc. TSLA, +3.97% has lost another top executive from its finance department. Tesla’s vice president of world-wide finance and operation, Justin McAnear, is leaving the company Oct. 7, the company confirmed after Bloomberg News reported the move Wednesday basedf on anonymous sources"Several weeks ago, I announced to my team that I would be leaving Tesla because I had the chance to take a CFO role at another company," McAnear said in a statement shared by a Tesla spokesman. "I’ve truly loved my time at Tesla, and I have great respect for my colleagues and the work they do, but this was simply an opportunity I couldn’t pass up." The departure follows the exit last week of Chief Accounting Officer Dave Morton, who had been in the position less than a month after replacing an executive who left that post earlier in the year. Tesla has also lost its corporate treasurer this year, Bloomberg pointed out. Tesla shares closed 4% higher Wednesday, but have declined 6.7% this year as the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.04% has gained 8%.
