Boris Johnson U-turns on love split as "they can’t bear being apart"

Boris Johnson did a U-turn after briefly breaking up with his spin doctor lover because he realised he couldn’t live without her, say pals.

We can reveal the ex-Foreign Secretary ended his relationship with Carrie Symonds, 30, before Christmas to focus on settling his divorce.

But friends say he quickly realised he’d made a mistake.

Now the 54-year-old Tory MP is believed to be looking for a new home where they can settle down. The news follows reports that the twice-married dad-of-four wants to wed PR executive Carrie, after they shared a New Year holiday in Greece.

A source said: “Things have moved very quickly between Boris and Carrie and the reason for that is because they simply could not bear being apart.

“When news first emerged last year about Boris’ friendship with Carrie he was torn.

“He decided he should end things, settle his divorce and then focus on work.

“But their time apart made him realise how much he needs and wants Carrie in his life.” Brexit supporter Boris split from long-suffering second wife Marina Wheeler after their marriage hit the rocks.

He and Carrie are understood to have used a five-star London hotel for meetings in the past.

Last week it emerged they had left the British winter and Brexit behind for a break at a villa owned by his father Stanley on the east coast of Greece.

They were seen enjoying a romantic meal in a restaurant near the bolthole where he holidayed with his kids last summer.
