Tesla stock struggles to avoid worst stretch ever
Tesla Inc. TSLA, -0.55% shares wavered between gains and losses as Thursday’s closing bell approached. The shares traded as low as $278.88 earlier in the day but shed losses as the session progressed and at times turned higher. A close in the red for the stock would be the eighth straight trading day of losses, its longest losing streak on record, based on available data going back to June 2010. The stock has lost 7% this week, and 10% this year, which contrasts with a 8% advance for the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.37% in 2018.
