ZURICH (Reuters) – UBS will launch its new 4 billion Swiss franc ($4.43 billion) share buyback programme on Feb. 8, the investment bank said on Friday, where it will buy up to 10% of its registered share capital.

Based on the closing price of the UBS registered share on the SIX Swiss Exchange on Feb. 3 2021, the amount allocated to the scheme corresponds to some 299.2 million registered shares or around 7.75% of the registered share capital of UBS, it said.

The buyback programme, which was announced by UBS last month, will run until Feb. 7 2024.
