Susan Hall destroys Angela Rayner after claims she would be a ‘threat’ to women
Conservative attack ad accusing Sadiq Khan of ‘misogyny’
The Tories’ candidate for London mayor Susan Hall has brutally slapped down Angela Rayner this morning, after Labour’s deputy leader claimed Ms Hall would be “no friend of women” if she beats Sadiq Khan next year.
In an article for LBC, Angela Rayner said the Tory maverick’s “reactionary views” threaten women’s rights.
Ms Rayner alleged that Susan Hall has “championed Donald Trump, attacked feminism and offended women”.
She said: “As someone running to be Mayor of London, her views are truly alarming and make her completely unfit to take up the post.”
Ms Rayner added: “Susan Hall would be no friend of women as Mayor.

“She’d be a direct threat to our hard-won rights.”
Susan Hall wasted no time in hitting back over the allegations, telling the Express it’s Sadiq Khan who is the real anti-feminist in next year’s London mayoral race.
A spokesman for her campaign said: “Sadiq Khan has shown no interest in making London safer for women and treats women on the London Assembly with contempt.
“The idea that Khan is a better advocate for women than Susan is laughable.”
Ms Hall has previously accused Sadiq Khan of being a misogynist over his attitude towards women in the London Assembly.
An attack ad from the London Tories showed Mr Khan repeating the fact he’s a “proud feminist”, before cutting to clips of him brutally attacking, interrupting and putting down female Ams in City Hall.

Ms Hall previously blasted Mr Khan’s sexism hypocrisy, telling the Mail: “All he says is ‘I’m a feminist’. No, no, no, he’s really not.”
Allies of Mr Khan fended off the “desperate and nonsense attack” and said the mayor had been “leading the way” on improving the lives of women in London.
Ms Hall is likely to address Angela Rayner’s attack when participating in an LBC phone-in show at 9am this morning.
A new poll in The Sun reiterates the threat she poses to Sadiq Khan, in what should be a solid Labour city.
London voters gave Mr Khan a mere three-point lead over Susan Hall when polled by JL Partners.
Mr Khan received 35 percent support compared to Ms Hall’s 32 percent.
Ms Hall is ahead of male voters, older people and those living in outer London, not least because of her pledge to abolish Mr Khan’s expansion of the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone on day one should she win the election.
